The Snow College Badger women’s basketball team is off to a new start. The team is on their second week and finding they are experiencing a learning curve, but have confidence of a strong season.
The team has only one returning starter from last season. Coach Natalie Visger has acknowledged that it’s a new team and says, “it will take us a few games to find our identity and to figure out who can do what.”
While the team will run into issues being a new team, they definitely have their strengths. “This team plays excellent pressure defense and is able to change the pace of the game with their pressure full court. We also have various weapons on offense, and that makes it difficult for other teams to scout us.” Coach Visger explained.
The season is in full swing in its second week, and the Lady Badgers (1-5) haven’t hit their stride yet, but have a season ahead of them.
When asked about the desired outcome of the season, Coach Visger said she hopes, “we finish playing our best basketball at the region tournament and that we are in the region 18 title game, where the winner takes all and heads to Kansas for Nationals.”
The next home game is on November 29, 2013 vs. USU-E vs. Gillette College starting at 3:00 pm.
