The Associates Degree of Fine Arts has been approved. The degree takes 3 years to complete, and will start with a 25 student maximum.

Snow College student, Cody Kimball, commented on the new addition saying, “As an art major here at Snow, having this degree would give me a lot of opportunities that I otherwise couldn’t have. It is also a good way to distinguish the superb art majors from the normal ones.” Many students are excited at the prospect of a new degree.

Adam Larsen, the Art Department Chair, has fought for a long time to get this put in place.  The Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Hood, commented saying,

“We are pleased with the approval of this new degree.  It fills a unique role within the Utah System of Higher Education, and our faculty are eager to implement the program.  Faculty, along with their students, have received numerous recognitions, and we look forward to their continued good work.  Students completing this program will be well-prepared academically, and they will have had significant applied experiences.”
