Badger Basketball quietly starts up on the road as both teams went on to win their opening games of the season.

The women’s team picks off both Arizona Western and Eastern Wyoming by 10 points or more a game, giving them a season opener two-win streak. Three of the Lady Badgers, Rachel Roberts, Sydney Pilling and Regan Yamauchi connect with the basket enough to each score in the double digits.

The team now prepares for Price, Utah where they will compete in their first tournament play of the season against the Utah All-Stars and Central Wyoming.

The first home game of the year will be on December 13 against the famous Snow College alumni followed by a game the next day against Wstern Wyoming Community College.

The mens’ team is able to pull off their own season opener as well in a trailing game, giving them a win over Kilgore by one point. The team remains in Oklahoma City for their next game which terminated in a 12 point deficit as the badger defence could hold back No. 2 Ranger College.

The team remains on the road for the week, but will take on Eastern Florida State at home on November 14. The remaining weekend will also consist of games against Central Wyoming and Lamar, all in the Horne Activity Center main gym.

Jacob Clawson grew up in Orange County California where he found a passion for photography, sports and music. Utah had always been the plan after high school as generations of his family have graduated from schools across the state. He is in his second year at Snow College studying Theatre set, design and tech, hoping to one day work in Southeast Asia designing live shows. When he’s not found backstage or writing articles for newspaper he can be found working on his car, traveling or finding the best trails in Sanpete County.
