On January 11th The State Board of Regents appointed Dr. Bradley J. Cook as the 17th President of Snow College.
“I think Dr. Cook will be great,” said Kallie Gwilliam. “I think [he] will do a lot for Snow College and be a great president for the students as well.”
The announcement came after a 22-member search committee recommended four finalists to the State Board of Regents, the governing body for the Utah System of Higher Education. Dr. Cook will assume duties after the semester concludes in May.
Prior to his appointment as President, Dr. Cook served as Provost and Executive Vice-President of Southern Utah University. During his time there he helped elevate SUU into a premier public regional university in the Intermountain West.
Dr. Cook is an alum from the college and played football for the Badgers when he was a student here. He is the second president to be a Snow alumnus. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be returning to Snow as president. President Carlston will be hard to follow because he’s been such a good leader, but I’m committed to listening, learning and helping the Snow College community reach its very promising potential. One of the things I look forward to the most is interacting with the students and finding even better ways to help them succeed.”
Dr. Cook is looking forward to working with the Snow College students, faculty, staff, and the community. He also looks forward to advancing the important work of Snow College.
Snow College warmly welcomes Dr. Cook and looks forward to the initiatives he has for the campus community.
