The Badgerettes close out another successful year of entertainment and dance.
Throughout the year the Badgerettes get the opportunity to show off their skills at athletic games like basketball, volleyball and football. They usually also get the opportunity to compete for Nationals but due to COVID-19 that event was cancelled this year. Despite this, the team has been able to practice and perform in many instances throughout the year. The team went down to Richfield to cheer on the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams as they competed in the Region 18 Tournament. The Badgerettes have also been performing at the home football games, both on the sideline and during halftime.
The team is made up of students from various high schools across the state. Aubree Jacobsen, a freshman from South Jordan, shares her experience being on the team, “I love performing with the team at games! I love bonding with the team.”
Sydney Bolton, a sophomore on the team shares her experience, “Being on the team has taught me how to put aside our differences and work together as a team!” Bolton will go to Utah State University in the Fall.
The Badgerettes will finish off their year by doing their annual showcase held in the Horne Activity Center on April 29th at 7pm. This showcase will be open to the public.
If you want to try out for the Badgerettes, auditions for the 2021-2022 team will be May 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Horne Activity Center. If you have questions or want more information you can find it under the athletics tab on the Snow College Website.
