Snow College Students competed in the APPE Two Year College Ethics Bowl in Baltimore, Maryland, and the result was a perfect performance.

The team competed against top two-year colleges, including two-time defending champions Harper College from Illinois, and finished with a perfect record of 5-0.

Greg Wright, one of the coaches of the team, said of the team: “I am so proud of these students. The amount of work and effort required of them is extraordinary. They have great chemistry and work so well together as a team.”

Shawnee Platero, a member of the team and a sophomore at Snow College, said that, “The Ethics Bowl team is such an amazing opportunity to let us encounter different perspectives and challenge our personal views. Beyond that, it allows us to see broader ways of life and learn more about Ethics as a discipline, beyond the classroom.”

As a result of their performance, they will be the only junior college out of 36 colleges represented at the 2017 Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl in Dallas, Texas.
