The men’s basketball team just finished a season that will go down as one of the best in Snow College’s history. After having a successful regular season, the men went on to win the region tournament game against Southern Idaho.
The game was a back and forth fight that saw many lead changes throughout the game, until freshman Brayden Johnson was able to connect on three straight three pointers. This created a gap and allowed the men to come out with a 76-69 win. Achieving this win allowed the men’s basketball team to get their first region title since 1970.
When asked how it felt to win region, Sophomore guard Jake Walker said, “It felt amazing to be a part of history. It just felt good to see all the hard work that we have done pay off. It was an indescribable feeling”.
Having this title win shows just how much work was put into this season for the men’s basketball team. They were consistent in winning, came out on top of the region, and made history here at Snow College. With the great year Snow College had this year, the future is bright for basketball.
