Harper Lee, author of the famous ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ has announced that she will be publishing a sequel to her classic in the coming months. Although not known publicly until recently, Lee actually wrote the two stories at the same time, ‘Mockingbird’ and its sequel called ‘Go Set a Watchman.’
As the time approached to publish the novels back in 1960, the manuscript for the second book was lost. In recent weeks, someone came upon the lost manuscript, and got in touch with Lee. They then started plans to publish the long-lost sequel. Not much is known about the story for the book as of right now, but various people on campus have already expressed they will be reading the book as soon as it comes out. ‘Go Set a Watchman’ will be released in the summer of 2015, nearly 56 years after its predecessor.
