Met Gala: In America: A Lexicon Of Fashion

Don't forget to like and share! 🙂

The Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala for The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute in New York City. Singers, influencers, and more attended the gala displaying haute couture designs. This year’s theme was: “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” But what does it mean? The purpose was to show American fashion throughout the years. Movies, TV shows, American Icons were the inspiration for the designs.

Anna Wintour has been chairman of the institute since 1995.  The editor in chief of vogue wore a flowery Oscar De La Renta gown at the event. The long-sleeved costume was gorgeous, with a mermaid shape. Another celebrity that impressed the gala was Kendall Jenner. The top model hit the red carpet in a Givenchy custom. Sparkly choker, shimmering shoulder, and crystals, the model, who was styled by Michelle, was the absolute embodiment of ’60s glamour.

Without a doubt the night was full of glamour for fashion and a great tribute to American style that has been inspiring many for years.
