As students crowd fill the Snow College campus for the beginning of a new school year, President Carlston has some goals for the students of Snow College.

He said, “He would like to thank the students for coming back and bringing the wonderful energy they have with them. “

President Carlston said, “The number one goal we want for the students, is to be successful.”

That’s not the only goal he has for Snow College students though.  He continued, “We want you to be successful in your course work.  We want you to have and make good friends here.  We want you to be prepared for the next step after Snow College.  We want students to be involved in campus life, and we want students to feel and contribute to the spirit of Snow College.”

As students, we need to accomplish the goals that President Carlston has for us and complete the goals we have made for ourselves.  If we do not have any goals set for this school year, the start of the school year is a great time to set new goals towards our education.

Snow College is a great place to get an education, but we have to do our part to gain that education.  It’s up to us on what we learn.  It is up to us to get the education we want.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”

Carlston closed his interview with advice to students. “Have a happy, successful, and enjoyable school year.”
