On the afternoon of Thursday April 14, Snow College honored their best and brightest students at the Lorenzo Snow Awards Ceremony. The awards were divided into sixteen categories honoring students in academics, athletics, service, and other categories.

Craig Mathie, Vice President of Student Success, says of the awards “[The awards] epitomize excellence in academics, character, and community participation. By naming the award after the founder, we want to recognize students that have gone above and beyond in those areas.”

Nominations for the Lorenzo Snow Awards were submitted in January. A total of 43 students were nominated throughout the categories. Among the winners were AneUnhu Gwatidzo, Badger of the Year, Abdurrahman Abbas, Inspirational Student, Davis Underwood and Kassandra Cruz, Man and Woman of the Year respectively, and Megan Batterman won the titular Lorenzo Snow Award.

The Lorenzo Snow Awards are presented every year at the end of spring semester, and nominations are submitted until the end of January. Students can start working now to get nominated next year by going above and beyond in academics, athletics, service, community participation, and by helping their fellow students.
