The Snow College Softball team is fighting to improve their record as the season is nearing the end.

Sitting at a 4-8 conference record, the Badgers are working to get their win/loss record back above .500 in upcoming doubleheaders against College of Southern Idaho, Salt Lake Community College, Colorado Northwestern College, and USU Eastern.

At bat, the Badgers are led by Sophomore third baseman Alyssa Arslanian, batting .490 with 48 hits and 12 home runs on the year. She is followed by Sophomore McCall Stoddard, who is batting .393 and is tied with Arslanian with 48 hits. Torri Bills, Makenzie Simons, and Sarah Sandberg each have 35 hits this year.

Pitcher Carley Guymon has a 7-9 record with a 4.69 ERA. She is joined by Sydney Barney who has a 4-8 record along with a 5.96 ERA.

Alyssa Arslanian says of the team going forward, “We are getting better and better each day and when it gets to the conference tournament the other teams should be worried. Right now we may be the underdogs, but I have a feeling that we will win when it matters.”

Up next for the Badgers are games at home against the College of Southern Idaho on the 14th and 15th of April, and on the road against Salt Lake Community College on the 21st and 22nd.
