Western Swing dances are held every Wednesday night from 9:00-11:00 p.m. above Roy’s Pizza on Main Street, where students can show off their dancing skills or acquire them. This venue also provides a great chance to meet new friends.

‚ÄúI love how we get to meet new people‚ÄĚ said Belle Blackburn,¬†a Snow College student¬†who attends¬†Western Swing often.¬†Blackburn¬†participates in a Western Swing dance class¬†and¬†encourages¬†Snow College students to¬†attend¬†their weekly dances.¬†¬†Blackburn admits she¬†loves meeting new people and¬†enjoys dancing with them.¬†

JoDee¬†Hartling, who regularly attends Western Swing, jokingly said,¬†‚ÄúIts makes us sweat a lot which means we don‚Äôt have to go to¬†the gym.‚ÄĚ She also said that ‚ÄúIt‚Äôs more fun when people show up.‚Ä̬†¬†

All students are encouraged to come, even if they¬†don’t feel confident in¬†their¬†dancing skills.¬†It‚Äôs a night filled with fun,¬†country¬†music,¬†and¬†of course, dancing.¬†¬†

My name is Whitney Stone. I go to Snow College and I am working toward getting my associates degree and then seeing where the winds of fate and anxiety attacks will take me. I want to travel and go on an animal safari to see nature’s beauty and dangerous animals it has to offer. I am also a mix of an introvert but I also enjoy telling stories and talking to people.
