Initially, Jessica Fugal did not plan on playing volleyball for Snow College. After graduating from American Fork High School, she came to Snow College because she heard it was a good school and a lot of people she knew had good experiences here. What she didn’t know was that just like her mom, she would be playing volleyball for Snow College.

“Jessica’s story is very interesting” Coach Keven John said about the player. Coach John saw her playing volleyball in her P.E. class last year and asked her why she isn’t playing for the school. After that, Fugal joined the team, and has been playing for Snow College ever since.

Jessica Fugal is a sophomore at Snow College. She is 6’3” and plays right side hitter for the volleyball team.

Her favorite thing about the sport is being part of the team and connecting with her teammates. “I like the competition and the big moments in a game like blocking and hitting,” Fugal said.

She plans on going into physical education and possibly becoming a teacher, then going into recreational therapy. If she doesn’t play volleyball after she graduates from Snow College, she plans on going to Utah State University, but she is continuing to look at schools to play at after graduation this April.

Her favorite things to do outside of volleyball are reading, watching movies and cooking.

Come watch Jessica Fugal play two big games on October 25 at home against College of Southern Idaho, and October 26 at home against North Idaho College.

Briquelle Caperton is from Clearfield, Utah. She was raised an only child, but has a half brother and sister. This is her first year at Snow. She attended Weber State University last year and transferred to Snow College for, “the college experience” and to “get away from home.” Briquelle’s favorite thing about Snow College is how friendly everyone is! Briquelle will graduate this April with her Associate of Arts Degree. Her plan for the future is to transfer to the University of Utah for their architect program; her dream is to do interior design for residential buildings. Some of Briquelle’s favorite things are: playing sports (mainly volleyball and basketball) drawing, and being in the great outdoors! Briquelle also loves to snow board, so on weekends in the winter time you can find her flying down the snowy slopes! She is also interested in film making, especially sports documentaries. As a first semester member of the Snow Drift Staff, Briquelle expressed that, “I never really liked writing, but have found that writing about things that you are passionate is much better!” She will be covering the spot lights for the volleyball team members. Briquelle is very excited to me a part of the Snow Drift staff!
