It’s a Wednesday night in Ephraim and you’re sitting in your apartment with nothing to do. You’ve skimmed through all of the T.V. stations, eaten two packs of ramen noodles due to boredom and actually finished all of your homework on time. But now what is there to do?

Every Wednesday night from 9-11:30 the western swing dance presidency holds a dance above Roy’s pizza and anyone is welcome to come. Its only $3 to get in and it’s a great way to make new friends and start a new hobby.

Now I know what you’re thinking, something along the lines of I don’t dance and I wouldn’t fit in at Western Swing, but that’s not true. Western Swing is meant for anyone and if you’re willing to try you can learn in a heartbeat!

MaKenzie Simons, a freshman and first timer of Western Swing said “I was nervous to try something new but I came to find out I like western swing, I may not be good at it but I would definitely recommend people coming to it,” Said Simons.

Newcomers might be nervous to start but President of the Western Swing club Jordan Eldridge ensures a good time for all.

“We’d like to extend the invitation to anyone who wants to come. We are all about having fun, getting to know new people and making new friends regardless of your social background or dancing skills,” said Eldridge.

So come on out, meet some new friends and give Western Swing-Dance a try! I promise you won’t regret it.
