As Snow College students attend their weekly entrepreneurship seminars they are benefiting from the presentations that are brought in.

Alan Christensen, professor of the seminars, is excited about the opportunity available to students, “Our goal is to bring in people that are going to inspire students to use entrepreneurship ideas to benefit themselves.”

Each week business leaders come to Snow so they can tell their story about how they were able to build a business from the ground up. “We bring in people who founded a business so they can tell the students how, and what it takes to start up a business” says Christensen. It is a great way for any students interested in business here on campus to get to understand the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship.

Kade Lister, who attends the seminars every week says his favorite part about the class is “going in and learning about all the different stories, and seeing the different ways people were able to start their businesses, and it’s fun to see how they got everything to work together.”

Previous Snow Students have truly enjoyed these seminars as well, according to Christensen. “In the evaluations at the end of the semester students always talk about how much they enjoyed these presentations, and how much they have learned as they have been around all these business leaders we bring in as they begin to understand what it takes to start a business.”

With the seminars every Wednesday at 12:30, students are welcome to stop by and hear some presentations from experienced business leaders.
