Snow College’s Women’s Volleyball finished the regular season with a victory over Salt Lake Community College and College of Southern Idaho, claiming championship over the Region XVIII Tournament in Rangeley, Colorado earlier this month.
The team took wins over host team Spartans 3-0, followed up by successful games against SLCC 3-1 and a win over the #1 seed USU-E Eagles 3-0 to win the championship.
The volleyball team started with spirits high, and felt that they only had improvements to gain from the competition. Maci Gordon, setter, said, “We are peaking at just the right time.”
The Badgers did well both united as a team and individually. Snow College had seven players get recognized. Fresh man Bailey Rasmussen and KJ Strong were named to the All-Tournament team as well as Macy Short being donned the Tournament MVP. Short and Strong made first team all-region while Gordon made second team all-region, with Kara Clayton making honorable mention. The Badgers are off to a great season-start.
