On March 8th at 7:00 P.M. in the Horne Activity Center, Snow College’s very own Badgerettes will be performing for their Spring Showcase.

Students can get in for $2 with their student ID and general admission is $5. The Badgerette Showcase will be filled with a variety of rehearsed performances, as well as fun. Karen Johnson, director, said, “The Badgerettes will be performing a variety of styles of dance including hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary and Jazz. Many of the pieces are choreographed by members on the team. The Showcase will also include dancers of all ages from across the county. It is sure to be a great night full of talent and entertainment.”

According to Snow’s website, the requirements to be a Badgerette include making a two-semester commitment, taking a ballet or modern dance class each semester with at least a final grade of a B, and maintaining a 2.0 GPA. A Badgerette lifestyle is not for the faint of heart. It requires a major time commitment because members rehearse 5 days a week, take an additional dance technique class, and attend a one-week summer camp. These girls put in a lot of hard work to perform at halftimes and community events.

Students interested in becoming a Badgerette should know that auditions are on April 14th from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. in the Horne Activity Center Dance Studio. For more information, students can go to or they can email any questions to the director Karen Johnson at
