Join the ballroom dance team. The fact is, is that extra-curricular activities help students perform better in school. The ballroom dance classes, club, and team provide physical activity and also gets students away from the stress that life creates.

What makes ballroom dance so important? “The people, being involved with a group,” says Snow College student Heidi Ashcraft, “Being able to dance and get away from the stress that school brings.”

The ballroom dance team is ending fall semester off with a bang. On December 9th and 10th come support the ballroom dance team for their ballroom show.

Also, if students need more credits for spring semester, take a ballroom dance class, such as, ballroom technique or Latin social. Learn more about the art of dancing. If taking a class isn’t an option, sign up for the ballroom club. The ballroom club teaches their members the basics of ballroom dance.

Start the new year and spring semester off right and audition for the ballroom dance team. Auditions will be held on Friday, January 6th. All Snow College students are encouraged to audition. The ballroom dance team takes part in many forms of dance, such as, the foxtrot, cha-cha, jive, and west coast swing.

“I love watching the ballroom dance team perform. They are very elegant and exciting in their dancing,” says Snow College student, Katelyn Gleed, “They are very fun to watch, I bet it is even more fun to be the one dancing.”

Snow College students, now is the time to have fun and get out of the comfort zone. Get involved with the ballroom dance team and have some fun.
