Updates galore! Good news for all you video game players, there are lots of new games coming out and lots of old games coming out with new content! Here are just a few glimpses of what’s to come.
Super Smash Bros. 3DS is coming out in less than a month, hitting the shelves October 3, and promising to be a… well, smash hit! New stages, new rules, new characters, and more! Better brush up on your Smash skills.
Minecraft has released the long-awaited 1.8 update, adding new blocks, and some other new content, ranging from underwater enemies and underwater temples to overhauling enchanting mechanics and giving players the ability to go into ‘spectator mode’, where you can watch other players without interfering with the game. And for anyone who wants to check out these new additions, head on over to the Snow College Minecraft Server at <dpet.homeserver.com:25569> to play with your friends!
Good news for Pokemon fans. A long-awaited remake to ‘Ruby Version’ and ‘Sapphire Version’ is also planned for release November 21. New 3D Pokemon models, more up close battling animations, and loads of new features make this a go-to game for anyone trying to ‘catch ‘em all’.
And finally, Assassin’s Creed: Unity is coming November 11. According to online trailers and reviews, this will be unlike any Assassin’s Creed game seen before, allowing a myriad of new features, including a 4-player co-op mode over the internet. For this reason, Ubisoft is very insistent that this game is not‘Assassin’s Creed V’, it is merely ‘Assassin’s Creed: Unity’.

Trevin Conder is 21 years old and writes for the Snowdrift. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2012. He is a sophomore at Snow College and plans on majoring in Communications and wants to go into Film. He is big fan of Doctor Who and has started the club “The CSI Ephraim”.
