The start of a new school year means that Snow College will be organizing many activities for students; one of these activities is intramural sports. This program is designed to provide organized sports to students of Snow. There is no charge to play these sports, and spots are always open for men and women. Sand volleyball and softball were the first two sports to start. They began play on August 25.
Softball will restart in March along with indoor volleyball. Ultimate Frisbee and outdoor soccer also started their seasons; these sports began play on September 1. Five-on-five basketball tips-off on September 15, so be sure to attend the sign-up meeting in the Horne Activity Center on September 14 if you are interested in playing.
October will bring the beginning of four more intramural sports including bowling (doubles), flag football, racquetball (singles) and dodgeball. More information on these sports can be found in the lobby of the Activity Center.
The spring semester will provide nine different sports. These sports are bowling (doubles), five-on-five basketball, wallyball, water polo, indoor volleyball, racquetball (doubles), indoor soccer, softball, and flag football. Startup meetings for these sports will be held in January and March to provide extra information.
All information for intramural sports can be found in the Horne Activity Center. A glass display case on the east side of the lobby contains fliers with information on all the sports. If you have a passion for sports, or are looking to meet new people, be sure to consider signing up for intramural sports.
