Competition ramps up as intramural sports are in full swing here at Snow College. With softball, basketball, sand volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and indoor/outdoor soccer all underway, and football coming soon athletes all over campus are participating in the fun competition. It is a good way for the students to get involved in activities outside of school for both men and women as there are are men’s and women’s leagues to go along with co-ed leagues of many kinds.
As the co-ed softball, and co-ed sand volleyball tournaments are underway teams are competing to see who will come out on top. The tournaments for the rest of the sports have yet to start, although the competition is still exciting.
Kade Lister, a participant in the intramural basketball games loves the atmosphere of the games and has been really enjoying it thus far, he says his favorite part about the games are “The competitive nature and how into it everyone gets just makes the games exciting and fun to be a part of.”
Intramural sports are also a good way for students to get their minds off schoolwork and go enjoy themselves. R.J. Wilgar, another participant of intramural sports at Snow College says “It is a good way for me to get out and meet new people while being able to play sports that I love, it is a good time.”
