Selfie Saturday! Well, Selfie Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for that matter. Selfie’s seem to be orbiting around cyberspace every day.

There isn’t a day, time, or even place in which a selfie hasn’t been taken. People take selfies in the morning after they get ready for their day and their hair looks super cute, at night when a party is hoppin’, at lunchtime with a mouth full of deliciously chewed up food, and many more times during the day.

Selfie’s can also be taken with animals, with your favorite pencil; you can take them in the bathroom where you can see yourself in the mirror. Heck, you can even take a selfie when you are on the toilet, as weird as that may seem people actually do it!

Now, some of these times and places selfies are taken may sound extremely weird, but the way I see it, people are just expressing their enthusiasm for life. They may really, really be enjoying the food that they just stuffed in their mouth, so they want to tell people about it. Or they just really love their dog, so they want to take a photo with it. Maybe the dog is so old, it may be about to pass away, and they are documenting a memory!

Who knows? All I’m saying is that selfies are just fun, expressive ways to be excited about life and show your personality.

Now, not all selfies are good. Inappropriate selfie’s are just that- inappropriate. I would even rate some selfies, like ones with excessive skin, offensive signs, or suggestiveness, and put a “viewer discretion advised” stamp on them. Sure, express yourself, but do it in a manner that is appropriate. Don’t offend anyone! Have selfie censorship!
