University on March 11th 2017 in preparation for the 2017 fall season.  Beating their conference opponent USU-Eastern, they also gained some experience playing against the Division 2, 4-year program, Dixie.

The Badgers started the tournament playing against Utah State University Eastern and won 3 sets to 0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-19). Snow College’s Head Volleyball Coach, Jeff Reynolds said “I was really pleased with how things turned out. In our first match, we served really well. We took Utah State-Eastern out of their game with an aggressive serve. I was also impressed with our middles who put up a really nice block.”

The team followed the match against USU-E by playing DSU and lost 3 sets to 0 (20-25, 11-25, 17-25). In a statement about this match, Jeff Reynolds remarked “I thought we played really well. Overall, I was pleased with how we played against two really good teams. I’m pleased with where we are at this point.”

The Badgers had been preparing for this tournament for several weeks and were glad to get back on the court. Starting Libero/Defensive Specialist, Cierra Costa, said “The tournament was so fun. I felt we played very well as a team and made a statement to our opponent in the fall. It was sort of a sneak peak on what Snow has to offer for the fall season. But overall it was just nice for us to compete again.”

The Lady Badgers are now preparing to take on another Division 2, 4-year program, Westminster College. The tournament will be held in just a few short days on April 1st, 2017 at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. .
