This summer I was a visitor on the BYU campus. As I was early for my 1:30 appointment I thought to get lunch at the cafeteria.
I attended BYU, how many years ago I will not volunteer, but I hold strong memories of the cafeteria. It seemed to be much like a mini Chuck-a-Rama or even a great place for a re-enactment of the classic “FOOD FIGHT!!” from ANIMAL HOUSE.
However, upon my arrival things were not as I had remembered. All had been replaced with wall-to-wall fast food booths. All of which could be purchased by going a short distance off campus.
My thoughts immediately went to the BADGER DEN. I thought of the food services that are available at our very own cafeteria. Annette and her full time staff and student workers work hard 7 days a week 2 and 3 times a day to prepare and serve a variety of affordable, healthy and, yes even delicious, offerings.
It is a difficult job for all that work there. All of us in the Snow Family should appreciate the “almost like Mom makes” food what is so easily available.
As is said in Japanese “SHOKUDO NO MINNA SAN ITSUMO GOSHISOSAMA DESU NODE ARIGATO GOZAIMASU”
P.S. Annette, many of us are waiting for you to open a SUSHI BAR
