The Snow College men’s basketball team has started the season off with some success, and hope to gain more momentum going forward.
The team has produced some respectable performances that have propelled them to achieve a regular season record of 4-2. (Update as more games come.)
One of the highlights of the season so far was Walter Wright breaking the Snow College single game scoring record. Wright scored 49 points in a 96-89 win over Sheridan College on November 8. Wright, a sophomore guard, broke the previous record of 45 points set by Hal Jensen in 1955.
Wright’s performance earned him the honor of being named Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) Player of the Week, and a nomination for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Player of the Week.
Snow’s highlights also include two commanding road wins earlier in the season, which include a 116-72 win at Impact Academy on October 31 and a 94-54 victory at Salish Kootenai on November 1.
The Badgers will play next on December 5 as they travel to Wyoming to take on Northwest College.
