Snow College welcomes back former student, football player and previous coach as the new head football coach.

Paul Peterson has come back to Snow College to coach on the field which he used to play on. The announcement was made on Monday January 20, 2017 by Snow College Athletics Director Rob Nielson. Peterson has spent the last three years as a coordinator and coach at Sacramento State. He also has coached at Southern Utah University, North Carolina State, Brigham Young University, and Snow College. Peterson already has plans for our football players. He wants them to strive not only on the football field, but in the classroom, school activities and community. Peterson has had a lot of success coaching his players individually and with the overall teams that he has coached.

Peterson is returning to Snow College with his wife and five children. He says that he is excited to be back at the place where he met his wife and started his career. He has a degree in management from Boston College, and a master’s in coaching/ athletic administration from Concordia. Peterson said that Snow College gave him the start he needed to become the player and person that he is today.

Students should support the football team and their new coach by attending the games next semester. The snowdrift staff wishes good luck to the football team and new head coach this upcoming season.
