The Snow College football team ended the 2014 regular season with an emphatic exclamation point. Their final two games were home vs. the Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters and away vs. Pima Community College.
For the last home game of the year, the Badgers well-rounded offense and stout defense kept the Gila Monsters subdued. Snow got it done in the air and on the ground with 234 passing yards and 184 rushing yards. Quarterback Alex Kuresa performed especially well passing for four TD’s and running for 42 yards.
Snow student Kyle Church said about the game, “Snow’s offense was super fun to watch today. There was some awesome one handed catches; they really put on a show. They were even better than my intramural team.”
The following week, Snow steamrolled Pima Community College by a score of 73-6. They held the Pima offense to only 26 yards passing and 147 total yards. In turn, Snow rushed for an astounding seven scores and passed for two more, totaling nine touchdowns. Total offensive output was 632 yards.
This ended the regular season for the Badgers, who finished with a #7 national ranking and a 7-1 overall record, their one loss being the heartbreaker against Scottsdale.
Announcements for post-season play should be given in the coming weeks.
