No-Shave November; it’s the only month of the year that anyone who wants to can get away with being as hairy as they want! What few people know about no-shave November is that it was started as a way to raise cancer awareness.
The concept of No-Shave November is to grow cancer awareness by embracing your hair. Many cancer patients lose their hair, and growing it out for one month is a way to show that society cares.
The rules of No-Shave November are simple: Hide your razors for one month and let your hair grow naturally! On the cancer side, however, the rules are that you are supposed to donate the money that you would normally spend on shaving (such as razors, shaving cream, and haircuts) and donate it to a cancer foundation.
Many friends get together to have competitions. The one who lasts the longest wins, or if everyone makes it then it is the person who has the longest beard.
Guys aren’t the only ones who are doing it, girls can participate too! Even though some people may think it is gross, some girls use the month of November as an excuse to get out of shaving their leg hair.
Anyone can participate in No-Shave November. Whether you are doing it to raise cancer awareness or not, November is a great month to let your hair grow freely!
