Snow Basketball Begins

November has arrived and that means that basketball season is tipping off here at Snow College. The basketball program held its annual Blue and Orange Scrimmage on Oct. 27 to gets students excited for the basketball season. High expectations are held for the men’s and women’s teams this year.

The men started their season by participating in a jamboree tournament at Salt Lake Community College on Oct. 18. They finished the day with a record of 2-1. The Badgers played in the Hilex Poly Invitational in Twin Falls, Ida. on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. This invitational included a dominant 116-72 win over Impact Academy.

The men continue play on Nov. 7 and 8 as they host the Mountain America Classic and will play games against Western Wyoming and Sheridan College. The women also play in the Mountain America Classic and will play Utah Select on Nov. 7 followed by a game against Northwest College on Nov. 8.

Tyler Pierce is the Head Sports Editor for the Snowdrift and is attending Snow College as a communications major. Tyler is from West Jordan, UT and graduated from Copper Hills High School in 2014. Tyler played volleyball in high school and loves to follow professional sports, especially the NFL and his favorite team, the New Orleans Saints.
