Snow Basketball Has First Scrimmage at SLCC

Don't forget to like and share! 🙂

This weekend the Snow College Men’s Basketball Team had their first “Juco Jamboree” at Salt Lake Community College.  Many Colleges from Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, and Idaho were in attendance as well as many Division 1 college coaches watching to recruit many players.  Snow College’s team played three games and went 2-1, which is not bad for a first scrimmage with a new team.

The first opponent Snow played against this weekend was Western Wyoming and the score was 54-33.  The second game that Snow played they won 72-70 against a Division 2 NAIA school College of Idaho.  In the last game, they played Northwest Idaho who defeated them 44-39.

Nate Moore, one of the Point Guards on the team said,” I think we played really well this weekend and that we competed with everybody we faced.  We started to get tired that last game but that comes from the benefits of playing 3 full games in one day.  It also felt really good that we got to play against other people instead of ourselves like we have been doing for the past 3 months.”

The Snow College Men’s Basketball team was very successful this weekend and sounded ready to start the regular season off.  On Friday October 23,2015 Snow girls and boys will be traveling to Dixie State for a scrimmage.  Then the following Monday they will be having their first Exhibition game against ex-Division 1 players here in Ephraim.  Please come out and support the Men’s Basketball Teams first game of the season.
