The Snow College men’s basketball team swept their way through the three-game Badger Invitational played at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield this past weekend, Nov. 10-12.
Snow College dominated on both sides of the ball throughout the tournament, winning all games by an average margin over 40 points.
The Invitational kicked off Thursday night as the Badgers came out hot against the Montana Western Bulldogs and took a 45-point lead into halftime. Snow was able to keep a comfortable lead all game and cruised to a 118-52 win. Riley Panter notched a season high of 27 points and hit 7 three pointers.
The Badgers took down Central Arizona on Friday night in the second game of the Invitational by a score of 85-50, their fourth straight game of holding their opponents under 65 points. The Badgers were able to spread the scoring around, and had four players reach double digits, including the team high 15 points from Mason Rich.
Saturday afternoon the Badgers finished off the Badger Invitational with a 106-86 victory against Eastern Wyoming. Blake Truman put up 18 points, and four other Badgers had at least 14 points showing a very balanced offensive attack from the Badgers. This win puts the Badgers at 5-0 with all five victories coming by at least 19 points.
The Badgers travel to Portland, Oregon, this weekend looking to start this season 6-0. Snow College starts off the Portland Community College Tournament on Friday, November 18 against Green River, then plays either North Idaho or Portland on Saturday, November 19, concluding the tournament.
