The students did not just look good, they also sounded good. The “Then and Now Jazz 1 Big Band Concert” was excellent. Playing titles such as “In the Mood” by Joe Garland and “Splanky” by Neal Hefti under the direction of Phil Kuehn, the Jazz 1 students received a standing ovation at the end of the evening.
Students who missed out will have another chance to see the jazz band perform in a concert planned for December 1.
