The month of November has been a busy one for Snow College music department. Multiple groups that have been put together has had the great opportunity to show off their great musical abilities for everyone to go and enjoy.
Groups such as Woodwind choirs, Brass choirs, Jazz Bands, Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Chamber choir and many more have been practicing long and hard to perform for this fall semester. We even had the opportunity to hear feature performances by guests such as the Hall of Fame Sam Cardon who played the piano beautifully, and the one and only Brent Brown of Brent Brown Toyoda in Salt Lake who performed a spectacular and quite surprising guitar solo. This was celebrated for Snow College’s 125th anniversary founder’s day celebration.
But the performances have not ended yet. For the rest of November everyone has the opportunity to go listen to the String area, Jazz combo, Wind ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, and a Band concert, along with the Celebration of Christ: An Interfaith Christmas Concert. Snow College Chamber Orchestra also has the great opportunity to perform with the acclaimed vocalist Nathan Pacheco on November 22nd at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield. So if you have missed the previous performances there is a great opportunity to go and experience the live music of these groups.
If you happen to be spending your night laying around, go check out Snow College music department and see what they have to provide. The talents of these students are phenomenal and all need to experience them live, the atmosphere can change your whole night.
