One of the many draws of Snow College is the opportunity to provide students with hands on experience in a variety of fields. One of the opportunities Snow College students can take advantage of is the Radio Performance class. Once signed up, a student will have the opportunity of doing a weekly two-hour radio shift on a real radio station. Students can play music, tell jokes, and talk on air, giving them the immersive experience of being an actual radio DJ. (will have an interview with Gary Chidester).

On top of being able to be a regular daytime DJ, students have the option to have their

very own nighttime specialty show, where they have complete control. With specialty shows, students have the opportunity to choose from a variety of music to play, come up with an original name for their show, and create poster advertising for their shows. Students also get the chance to record a  30 second promo that is played regularly over the air.

If students are interested in participating in an authentic experience by hosting an actual radio show, sign up for Radio Performance next Fall.
