The Snow College basketball team finished their season in late February after being eliminated from the Region 18 Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) tournament. The team ended with a regular season record of 18-14 and a conference record of 6-9.

The team rallied around Walter Wright, who had a remarkable season shooting the ball. Wright led the SWAC in scoring as he averaged 21.8 points per game. Wright was named to the SWAC first team at the end of the season.

Gentrey Thomas was another outstanding player this year. Thomas hit his stride at the end of the season as he scored 27 and 26 points in the last two games of the regular season. These performances helped him to receive National Player of the Week honors. Gentrey was named to the SWAC second team.

Larenz Stalcup was named a SWAC Honorable Mention. Stalcup led the team in rebounding and blocking.

Wright, Thomas and Stalcup are all sophomores who have completed their time at Snow, leaving Coach Robert Nielson some holes to fill. All is not lost as Snow has freshmen returning to the team next year, including Romain Louiserre and Aziz Leeks, who both had strong seasons.

Look for your Badgers to be on the court this October as they hope to start another successful season.
