Last Wednesday, Student Life drew crowds to their Gaming through the Ages activity at the Greenwood Student Center. Students packed in to play games, eat pizza and compete in tournaments for prizes.
Video game fans got to enjoy playing on a wide variety of video game consoles arrayed around the center, including nostalgic consoles like the Sega Genesis and Gamecube. Several arcade game machines were also available for play.
Players of the popular Magic: The Gathering card game were able to participate in a Modern-format tournament, ran by the Snow College Magic Club and judged by club member Austin Abel. Over a dozen players competed. The prizes for the top players included booster packs of Magic cards and a high-quality wooden deck box.
Even attendees not inclined to play video games or card games still had options. Student Life graciously provided free pizza and drinks, as well as fun games like their giant Jenga tower. Students also played competitively and casually at the table tennis tables set up on the first floor.
