New Hampshire has loaned Snow College one of its star citizens, Ivan Meneses. Ivan is a freshman with a double-major in Criminal Justice and Psychology, who enjoys futbol, dance, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter.

Ivan, originally from Nelson, New Hampshire, decided to attend Snow College after both of his older brothers attended here, “I just had to get off the East Coast”, Meneses added.

Ivan plans to transfer to Utah Valley University when he finishes here. “In five years, I want to be a police officer, in ten I want to be a Detective, and in forty I’d like to be a college professor”, Meneses said on the subject of his long-term plans.

Ivan also spent a summer in Munich, Germany playing soccer as a Left-Mid in an Einbeck league, after being selected by talent scouts in the US. While being there, Meneses stayed with a German family.

Ivan also enjoys dance, “all kinds; hip-hop, ballroom, a bunch,” Meneses said. He danced at his high school, Keene High, in Keene, New Hampshire, and says that he “hasn’t done much since.”

Snow College Communications Professor, Kristi Stevens, said, “I love Ivan. He brings a unique perspective to class and says things that other students don’t necessarily think of.”

Finally, Ivan said that his favorite movie is Lord of the Rings and also enjoys Harry Potter,“ but the books, not the movies, because the movies don’t follow the books.”
