Summer Snow: Visual Arts Workshop

Snow College will be hosting their 41st annual Summer Snow.  Summer Snow is a visual arts workshop. The first will be from June 1-5, and another from June 8-12.

The first week will host Colleen Barry, Carl Purcell, Cerese Vaden, Spike Ress, and Joe Bennion.

Colleen Barry will be teaching Portrait Drawing, Joe Bennion will be teaching Wheel Thrown Pottery, Carl Purcell will be teaching Drawing for Painters,  Spike Ress will be teaching Watercolor Landscape Inside Out, and Cerese Vaden will be teaching Mixed Media Sculptural Book.

The second week will host Colleen Barry, Carl Purcell, Ron Richmond, Robert De Groff, and Dean Kleven.

Colleen Barry will teach Drawing the Structure of the Human Body, Robert De Groff will teach Mezzotint and Engraving Printmaking, Dean Kleven will teach Concept Art: Exploring Character Development in Drawing and Digital Painting,  Carl Purcell will teach Watercolor Landscapes, and Ron Richmond will teach The Portrait and Draped Figure in Oil Paint.

There will be academic credit available for each of the completed workshops.

Jentri Lyman This is Jentri’s second year at Snow College; she graduated from Delta High in 2013. She is an art major and enjoys drawing, painting, being in the mountains, softball and snowboarding. She has done photography and writing for the Snowdrift. After Snow College, she plans to move back home, get married, get a job and see where life takes her.
