Initially, Jessica Fugal did not plan on playing volleyball for Snow College. After graduating from American Fork High School, she came to Snow College because she heard it was a good school and a lot of people she knew had good experiences here. What she didn’t know was that just like her mom, she would be playing volleyball for Snow College.
“Jessica’s story is very interesting” Coach Keven John said about the player. Coach John saw her playing volleyball in her P.E. class last year and asked her why she isn’t playing for the school. After that, Fugal joined the team, and has been playing for Snow College ever since.
Jessica Fugal is a sophomore at Snow College. She is 6’3” and plays right side hitter for the volleyball team.
Her favorite thing about the sport is being part of the team and connecting with her teammates. “I like the competition and the big moments in a game like blocking and hitting,” Fugal said.
She plans on going into physical education and possibly becoming a teacher, then going into recreational therapy. If she doesn’t play volleyball after she graduates from Snow College, she plans on going to Utah State University, but she is continuing to look at schools to play at after graduation this April.
Her favorite things to do outside of volleyball are reading, watching movies and cooking.
Come watch Jessica Fugal play two big games on October 25 at home against College of Southern Idaho, and October 26 at home against North Idaho College.
