The Snow College volleyball team is closing in on the end of their season. The team was successful this year in conference and non-conference play which pushed them to a No. 7 ranking in the nation.
Some highlights of the season were a remarkable 13-2 start in non-conference play, and a five-set home victory over then No. 5 ranked Salt Lake Community College to avenge an earlier loss in the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opener.
Snow played its final regular season match against Colorado Northwestern Community College on Saturday, Nov. 1 and won in a 3-0 sweep. The team finished the regular season with a conference record of 6-4 and a number 10 ranking in the nation.
The Badgers are now gearing up for postseason play in the region tournament which will be held Nov. 7 and 8, at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls. Since the SWAC is composed of two districts within the region, the Badgers must come in first or second place to qualify for the NJCAA National Championship tournament.
The National Championship tournament will be held from Nov. 20 through 22 in Casper, Wyo. The Badgers hope to carry their regular season momentum into the postseason and make a run at a region or national championship.
