The classic tale, A Christmas Carol, is being performed by Snow College students. This retelling of the story will transport those of all ages into the well known story by Charles Dickens. The story follows Ebenezer Scrooge, a man who despises Christmas, as he goes on an adventure where his heart is softened as he starts to understand the true meaning of christmas.
The Snow College website describes Scrooge's softening of heart, “Racked with fear and remorse at each spirit’s revelation, Scrooge sees the wrong doings of his life and transforms by hope and generosity in this lively reimagining of the tale for the whole family.”
The production follows Scrooge as he turns his greedy, unhappy life into a life filled with Christmas spirit. Scrooge's change of heart has inspired countless performances of this classic tale. Now the students and community surrounding the college have the opportunity to see it performed on the Snow College Campus, in hopes of bringing somecheer to Snow College and the surrounding community.
Peyton Kjar, a student at Snow stated, “I'm really excited to see A Christmas Carol! I think It will bring a more festive feel to campus.” Kjar is not the only student looking forward to the show.
