Eat Smart

College students need to eat well to support their academic performance and overall well-being. Proper nutrition helps maintain energy levels, reduces stress, and strengthens the immune system. Eating well also promotes mental health, like Anxiety attacks that come from that essay you haven’t finished.

It can also be hard to find time and motivation to make food, that’s why healthy snacks like trail mix, granola bars, yogurt, hummus, veggies, cheese sticks, or fruit can be good for on the go.

Meal prep or easy meals like an oven baked quesadilla are easy to do and don’t take a lot of time. You can also prepare meals on weekends or whenever you have free time.

All you need to make a quesadilla is tortillas, cheese, and any leftovers (not required). You fill the tortilla with cheese and leftovers like chicken or veggies, then in a cooking sheet insert into the oven or use a pan. Bake or grill to desired crisp. This is just one of many easy recipes that you can find on YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, or Instagram reels.

Snow College also has a free pantry in the Green Student Center next to the cafeteria in case you're running low on funds. You're encouraged to go with no fear of judgment.
