With the holidays approaching, students will start looking for things to do to destress from finals. It is part of the college experience to go out and have fun

Snow College has a huge international community. Unfortunately, some international students can’t go home for the holidays. Being away from family is a very hard thing, but having things to do throughout the holidays makes it easier. Anabella Torres, an International student who is staying in Ephraim during the break says “being able to go out and have fun is really important to prevent us from feeling homesick”

There are a lot of things to do around; from fun outdoor activities to cozy indoor fun. According to locals the top must-see is The Ice Castles in Midway are amazing to visit every year according to locals; tickets range from $12-$23. For those that want to try their hand at snow tubing or sledding they can go to Soldier Hollow Tubing, tickets range from $20-$30. Utah ice skating includes Olympic rinks, county complexes and magical light-strung rinks spinning the sounds of the holidays.

For those that don’t want to be outdoors, there is the Sundance Film Festival. It is a very recommended and popular place to go to the Aquarium while it’s colder out. Loveland Living Planet is an amazing experience for all ages and tickets range from $12-$25.

Winter is a unique and new experience for many international students, being away from home doesn’t mean you can’t have fun.
