Snow College Top Gun Skate Night kicks off with a blast with an evening of music, food,

and of course, skating for all students to enjoy an opportunity to connect with each other.

Once a month the Snow College Student Life Committee hosts a skate night each with a

different theme for the students' enjoyment within the Green Wood Student Center. This time,

taking place on October 1st starting at 8:00 pm, the students of Snow College were given the

opportunity to enjoy a night themed after the popular movie series of Top Gun, featuring

decorations from the movie.

These decorations, including a massive plane model that hung over the event, were the

star of the show; in fact, one of the Student Life staff members in charge of the event, Landon

Bown, had the following to say about it. “The decorations are awesome and it's awesome for

taking pictures.” He was not wrong, for they truly stood out in the atmosphere they provided as

students flocked to join the night event.

These skate nights are not only well-decorated events, but an opportunity to bring

students closer together. As stated by Alia Ngatuvai, who was also a member of the working

student staff that night. “Stake night is a good night to come and connect with other students

and have fun.” And the staff truly do their best to make it that way, even providing students a

chance to take a poll to gauge students' interests and thoughts on each event while they enjoy

their root beer floats in the Badger Cafe.

The Student Life Committee has proven once again, as they have done every month,

that nights like these are key to what makes Snow College a good community for it’s students,

providing well-put-together gatherings to show that they care, while helping students to enjoy a

good night out.
