The Snow College women’s basketball team is nearing the end of its season after an

intense and competitive year filled with both exciting victories and challenging matchups. The

Lady Badgers opened the season strong in late October with an impressive win against Yavapai

College, giving fans an early glimpse of the team’s potential and getting the season off to a

great start.

Throughout the season, the Badgers have faced many tough teams, including

conference rivals and nationally ranked programs, testing their resilience and teamwork.

Despite the challenges, Snow College has continued to push forward and has maintained a

winning record of 13–8, showing their ability to compete at a high level and keep pushing even

in hard times. Some people believe the team’s success has come from a strong balance of

scoring, and tough defense in every game.

Several players have stepped up as key contributors this season. Lala Baldwin has

emerged as one of the team’s offensive leaders, currently leading the Badgers in scoring with a

season total of 226 points and an average of 10.8 points per game. In addition to her scoring

ability, Baldwin also led the team in both total assists and assists per game.

On the defensive side of the ball, Sydnee Smith has been a dominant force in the paint.

Smith currently leads the team in rebounds with 114 so far this season, helping the Badgers

control possession and limit second-chance opportunities for opposing teams.

Looking ahead, the Badgers have nine games remaining before the Region 18

Tournament begins in early March. Each of these games will be important as Snow College

looks to improve its standing and earn a favorable seed heading into the postseason.

Although this season has not been a walk in the park, the Lady Badgers have

demonstrated determination, teamwork, and perseverance throughout the year. As they prepare

for the final stretch of games, Snow College hopes to build on their successes and carry

momentum into the Region 18 Tournament and the rest of their season.
