Four Sophomore Badgers, and five freshmen are under the looking glass for Division 1 (D1) college basketball programs.

Head coach Andrew May runs a nine-man rotation. Through hard work both on and off the court, these nine players have secured a lot of eyes as a team and as individuals.

The Snow College men’s basketball team has been number one in the National Junior College men’s basketball rankings since mid-December. This level of play and ranking at any level of basketball will always draw attention, and it has put Coach May’s program and players on the map.

“For us to be getting guys with multiple offers from across multiple positions on our team from our power forward to our point guard, you know it speaks a lot to their consistency and what they’re doing.” Coach May comments on what it means for his players to be receiving Division 1 offers.

For Coach May it’s not just his point guard and power forward receiving offers, both shooting guards in the rotation and the starting small forward have received multiple offers of their own.

Sophomores Mark Brown Jr No. 1, Isaac Finlinson No. 10, and Isaac Garret No. 32 head the list of Badgers with D1 offers. As for the freshman, Chance Trujillo No. 5, and McCaden Adams No. 23 (4) have many offers of their own. The team has collected 31 total Division 1 offers from all over the country.

The Badgers will finish their regular season with a pair of home games on February 27, against North Idaho at 7 pm, and Saturday, March 1, against College of Southern Idaho at 3 pm.

Snow College men’s basketball has secured the Region 18/Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) regular season with a perfect 11-0 conference record. The Badgers will host the SWAC tournament on Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8, times are TBD.
