Badger Pride on Display as Mr. and Mrs. Snow Kick Off Homecoming Week

It's Homecoming week, Badgers! We kicked off the week with a bang, hosting the Mr. and Mrs. Snow competition. This pageant-style competition lets students compete to earn the title and crown of Mr. or Mrs. Snow.

To begin, the contestants were introduced one by one, showing their best school spirit. Notable outfits included custom Snow College overalls and our very own Buster the Badger.

Each contestant got a turn to show off their skills and talents. They performed a wide range of talents and challenges to try and win over the judges and the audience. Some of these performances included a stand-up set, singing the 50 states while spinning a basketball on a finger, doing flips, dancing a jive, eating a whole pizza, and doing 100 push-ups all in under 5 minutes.

Crowd participation was highly encouraged. Between cheering and clapping for our contestants, the crowd participated in games to win prizes. We enjoyed tough competitions in rock-paper-scissors, Simon Says, and even a coolest shoe contest.

This year's competition was fierce, with many tough competitors. Our student body president, Talon Rassmussen, was one of our judges and commented on having to choose one winner, "The hardest part about picking the winner is gotta be just the fact that they're all so good. They're all so unique, and they all bring to the table different talents, different abilities, School spirit, and everybody. So, it's definitely got to be just trying to decide the best one out of all of them because they're all just so good."

This year's fan Favorite votes went to Jackson Jensen and Nakiah Payne. The judges awarded Mr. Snow to Pearson Judy and Mrs. Snow to Halle Smith. When asked about his experience being the new Mr. Snow, Pearson said, “Not gonna lie, pretty nerve-wracking, just embarrassed the heck out of myself for the last two hours, but it feels great.”
