Mens Basketball Makes a Splash On Season

The badgers have been kicking off the basketball season strong going 8-1 including a huge win over #2 ranked Florida Southwestern State. Where six Badgers scored in double digits to help the team pull of the underdog win against the Bucs. Snow now sits at #16 on the NJCAA Men’s basketball rankings. In the region, Snow sits at #3 right behind College of Southern Idaho and Salt Lake Community College.

Snow’s team traveled to Arizona for a weekend classic and came out 1-1 with their loss coming from Arizona Western in a back-and-forth battle. Clayton Southwick led the way with 21 points going 6 for 8 from downtown adding 6 rebounds. Chase Potter was right behind with 18 points and adding 7 rebounds as the Badgers fell 70-66 to the Matadors. Then capped off the weekend with a 77-59 victory over Yavapai College where the freshman Dylan Jones led the charge with 28 points and splashing 8 three pointers.

This year the Badgers are under new management with new head coach Andrew May and assistant coach Brad Kitchen.
