To celebrate the first week of school, students came together on August 22 for the Paint and Foam Dance. The first 300 students who showed up would receive a free white shirt, which allowed the students to put paint on themselves without having to ruin their other clothes.

Over 300 students gathered together to dance and enjoy their time with each other at the foam pit and at the DJ. Freshman, Sharlee Krogh states, “My favorite and least favorite part was the mosh pit because it was the craziest mosh pit, I’ve ever been in. It was really fun, but also scary.”

As the night went on, flashes lit up the sky; a storm was rolling in.  The dance had to end early, and some were fine to go, while some were disappointed at having to leave the fun. Mackenzie Justesen, a third-year Snow College student, says, “Honestly, I was alright with the dance ending early because I was already leaving, so I didn’t mind.”

Though the dance concluded early, this did not stop the partying from happening. Many students went to each other's apartments and continued celebrating.
